58 GES Series

This small laser is ideal for quick installation within an indoor venue such as a club.

The 58 GES Series of diode-pumped, solid-state microlasers sets new standards in high-power laser performance and ease of use. Our microlasers provide high power operation in a compact, air-cooled package, eliminating the inconvenience of liquid cooling. They are ideal for a wide variety of applications including medical equipment for dermatology and ophthalmology, holography, laser entertainment, laser display systems, photo plotting and spectroscopy.

You provide the AC power, we do the rest. No more chillers, liquid heat exchangers or power adapters. The microprocessor-controlled power supply has auto-switching capability and can be remotely operated for use in OEM designs. Together with our Diamond Projection head and one of our Oasis controllers, this system is excellently suited for Nightclubs.

A Breakthrough in Laser Technology

The 58 GES series of diode-pumped solid-state lasers supplied by Laser Innovations are the only commercial systems that combine high-power low-noise green (532 nm) output with the rock-solid reliability, compact size, and low power consumption of all solid-state construction. These rugged systems are ideal for the laboratory or for incorporation into OEM equipment.

The laser head itself is only 1.63 inches high and 7.15 inches long. In its standard configuration (shown here) it is mounted on an air-cooled heat sink, but in OEM applications it may be mounted directly to a cooling surface capable of dissipating approximately 150 W with a minimal temperature rise.

The 58 GES series lasers use long life infrared A1GaAs semiconductor lasers to pump a neodymium-doped vanadate crystal that produces laser output at 1064 nm. A non-linear crystal located inside the laser cavity "doubles" this output to 532 nm, a green wavelength that is extremely useful for a wide variety of surgical, biotechnology, analytical, reprographic, and entertainment applications.

The 58 GES series lasers operate in a multitransverse mode with a beam quality factor (M’) of less than 3.0. Key features of the 58 GES series lasers are their efficiency and long operating life. By carefully matching semiconductor pump-laser output to the absorption bands of the lasing medium, wall-plug efficiencies in excess of three percent have been obtained. The high efficiency allows the laser to be extremely compact and cooled by a modest heat sink. The semiconductor pump lasers used in these systems have demonstrated lifetimes in excess of 10,000 operating hours.
